Rubery 2 -0 Dosthills. Nicky Wood scored two fine goals from long range in the first 5 minutes. A tremendous defensive effort from all the girls then followed to give Rubery their first league win and first clean sheet of the season.
Rubery 1 - 3 Holy Souls Foxes. Nicky Wood scored another brilliant solo goal to equalise. The girls had chances to pull it back to 2-2 but very tired legs from the first game led to a defensive error late in the game that was punished by Foxes.

U14 Girls friendly at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre: Holy Souls Foxes 2- 1 Rubery (N Wood). Another close game between these two sides. Rubery scored in the first minute but Foxes took their subsequent chances better than Rubery.

U16's won 3-1 at table-topping Solihull Juniors. Superb display of quality from our boys as we dominated from first to last. Nathan Eaton bagged a hat-trick in his first full match of the season after his awful head injury.

U16's lost 7-5 in a cup 'battle royal' at Premiership 3rd place Pheonix United. Although still struggling with huge injuries our lads were superb and deserved to take the game into extra-time at least.

U7s drew 1-1 at home to Kingfisher Colts. Goal Scorer March Roche. Great game against some tough opposition, with all players working hard after going a goal down. Rubery's goal came from a great through ball to put Mark in to space 15 yards from gaol, where he sized up a fantastic strike in to the top of the net.

U16 lost 4-2 at Coleshill Town. After going 2-0 up with both goals coming from Josh Fergusson, we witnessed some astonishing decisions from the 'home' stand-in referee that changed the game completely in favour of Coleshill and cost us our unbeaten record.

U13s Colts beat Onyx 23-3. Rubery’s 2nd league game of the season turned into goal feast with CONNOR GOERGE and JACK SKETT scoring 5 each, RICHARD MASHAVIRA scored twice on his debut, JOE LOVETT headering his 1st of two goals, KRIS HARPER scored his 1st goal of the season . RYAN MULHOLLAND continued his goal scoring form with 7 goals while SEAN CLINTON finished ONYX off. All the lads played their part in an amazing turn around from last season.

U16's beat CCC's 2-1 in the League Cup. Goals from Josh Fergusson and Tom Lawry capped a superb team performance in knocking out third place premiership, 100% record and one of the cup favourites.

Under 14 Girls: Kingshurst 5-0 Rubery

An evenly fought contest, the greater experience of the Foxes perhaps being the difference between the two sides. Mistakes in the first half cost Rubery dearly. Despite a tremendous effort in the second half Rubery failed to convert their pressure into goals.

U16's game was abandoned after 47 minutes with a 1-1 score-line due to a serious head injury to a Rubery Lad. He is fine now and recovering at home.

Adult match report 13/08/06 MAYFLY OLD BOYS 2 RUBERY FC(Sun) 1 Another season starts and considering it was the first game what a great game it turned out to be with both teams playing some great football throughout this encounter. Both sides produced a standard that would probably have not being out of place in the top league and can only bode well for the rest of the year. Rubery started the brighter and came close with a early effort but with pre season still in the legs fired wide. Rubery gifted Mayfly with a goal on 23 minutes with a mistake which allowed them to fire home but this did not deter Rubery from there game plan but they did start to go a bit more direct instead of keeping the ball and the Mayfly goalkeeper swept up any danger. H/T 1-0 Both teams started well in the second half but it was Rubery that looked the more aggressive and should have tied the lead on a couple of occasions but it was with 76 minutes on the clock and an excellent move from Rubery which was finished with a effort from Adam Holland who fired the ball passed a stranded keeper. But with only 5 minutes left and with Mayfly only having a kick and chase game left in their legs a big kick from the keeper was missed timed and the resulting defensive header found the ball falling to the forward and his looping shot over an onrushing keeper dropped agonisingly into an open net. A draw would have being a fair result for this game but it is something to build on and hopefully things can only improve from here.

This week six teams from Rubery Juniors FC travelled down to Devon to take part in the Devon Championship, U8s, U8 Colts, U10s, U11s, U12 & U13s. The U8s returned with the winning cup, the U8 Colts runners up and Fair Play Award, U11s were also awarded a fair play award and the U12s finished runners up whose final game went to penalties. Well done to all.

Rubery FC Sunday won 4-1 against League Champions Alvechurch Darts to clinch Runners-Up Place and Promotion.

Rubery Juniors Girls finally got theirs and our clubs first ever Girls Team victory.

The Girls playing two teams at Boldmere in a 5-a-side Tournament beat Glebe Farm 5-3 to record their first ever win. They scored a total of 16 goals between the 'Leopards & Cubs Teams' so well done to John and all. Goal-scorers were Nicola 7, Paige 3, Coral 2, Laura, Jo, Emma and an own goal.

Rubery Juniors U15 update: Our lads gained a history making third success by becoming the first team ever to rise from Division 5 to Division 1 with three consecutive promotion seasons.

Rubery Juniors U8's won 2-1 away to Callowbrook Swifts in their last league game of the season. Goals from Morgan O'Sullivan and James Perry-Chambers. An excellent team performance but man of the match went to goalkeeper George Clarke. Rubery Juniors U12's lost 3-1 in the Cup Final v Smithswood. This was a superb battling performance where our lads controlled 75% of the game and played the best quality football throughout. Score line flattered the winners but our boys and the Supporters were a credit to the Club.
